What we actually check
You know this machine better than we do. So rather than guess at a number, here is exactly what gets looked at and what each one does to the offer.
Undercarriage or tyres
On a tracked machine, every component measured and expressed as a percentage worn — links, bushes, rollers, idlers, sprockets and shoes. On a wheeled machine, all tyres graded, with matched sets noted.
What it changes: The largest single number on this page. A full undercarriage rebuild on a large dozer can approach six figures, and earthmover tyres are scarce enough that a worn set is a real deduction.
All of it is graded against the same written standard for every machine, and those grades feed a price built from realised auction results. At this end of the market the report matters as much as the number: telling us about a fault up front costs you nothing, because it is priced in either way and finding it at pickup is what changes an offer.
